Bengaluru-based ecommerce firm Meesho this week launched Vaani, a GenAI-powered conversational voice shopping assistant aimed at tier II and smaller Indian markets. Vaani handles end-to-end shopping tasks—discovery, comparison, payment selection and delivery confirmation—and currently supports English and Hindi, with Meesho reporting 1.5 million interactions and a 22% higher conversion. The company says Vaani targets roughly 500 million potential voice-first shoppers.
