Indonesia Restores Grok Access Conditionally Pending Compliance Measures

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs said on Sunday it has begun processing the conditional restoration of access to the generative AI chatbot Grok after X Corp pledged measures to improve compliance following a January temporary block over misuse for non-consensual pornographic content. Director General Alexander Sabar said the normalization is conditional and that authorities will continuously verify X’s technical safeguards, feature restrictions, policy enforcement and incident-response commitments, and may reimpose a ban if violations occur.
