IIT Bombay on Tuesday (9 December) launched India's first deep‑tech venture capital fund managed by an academic incubator, the Rs 250‑crore Y‑Point Venture Capital Fund under SINE. The fund will invest at pre‑seed and seed stages in about 25–30 startups, with tickets up to Rs 15 crore, targeting AI, advanced computing, manufacturing, materials, space, defence, clean tech, life sciences and healthcare.
