Guyana Launches Outpatient Pavilion And AI Initiatives

President Dr. Irfaan Ali commissioned the new Outpatient Pavilion at Dr. Balwant Singh’s Hospital in Georgetown on March 2, 2026, calling it a landmark in Guyana’s integrated healthcare strategy. The government announced partnerships with Mount Sinai, Northwell and Apollo and plans for nationwide EHRs, 200-site telemedicine, AI-assisted diagnostics, GPS-integrated emergency response, robotic surgery ambitions and local medicine manufacturing.
