GPT-5.2 Helps Physicists Derive Gluon Formula

OpenAI announced on February 13 that a team of physicists used GPT-5.2 Pro to propose a new closed-form formula for previously vanishing single-minus tree-level gluon scattering amplitudes; the preprint appeared on arXiv on February 12. An internal OpenAI model then checked the proof and human authors verified consistency, yielding an n–2 product structure that simplifies multi-gluon calculations.
