Google Expands Nano Banana 2 Image Model

Google is rolling out Nano Banana 2 (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image) to free users across the Gemini app, Google Search AI Mode, Lens, and other Google AI platforms today. The model brings real-time web-image access, legible text generation, localized translation, and finer creative controls (up to 4K, consistent multi-character rendering, and aspect ratio control) previously limited to Nano Banana Pro and paid subscribers. The change makes advanced image generation faster, cheaper, and widely accessible.
