Foreign Investors Pour Funds Into Indian Markets

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) invested ₹14,159.82 crore in Indian markets during the week ended Feb. 13, recording five consecutive sessions of net buying, data from the National Securities Depository Ltd. show. Equity inflows totaled ₹11,545.81 crore with Tuesday the strongest day, while debt attracted ₹2,896.21 crore; however, FPIs remained net sellers of ₹1,374 crore for February so far due to heavy selling on Feb. 13.
