FedEx Embeds AI Agents Into Workflows

FedEx plans to embed agentic AI into more than half of its operational workflows by 2028, executives told the Wall Street Journal. The rollout targets shipment monitoring, exception handling, workflow coordination and internal software development, and pairs software agents with robotics in sorting centers. The initiative could automate routine logistics decisions across the company’s global network of operations.
