Ethereum Foundation Targets Faster Transactions And Quantum Security

The Ethereum Foundation on Wednesday published its 2026 protocol priorities, targeting faster transactions, smarter wallets, improved cross-chain interactions and post-quantum security. It plans to scale the gas limit toward and beyond 100 million, advance the Glamsterdam upgrade in H1 2026, and form a new Post-Quantum team while promoting native account abstraction. These moves aim to accelerate L1 confirmations and shorten L2 settlement times.
