Employers Prioritize Digital Skills Over Degrees
NIIT Limited and YouGov published the NIIT India Skills Gap Report 2026 on April 2, surveying 3,500 students, professionals, recruiters and academics about shifting hiring priorities. The report finds digital, data and cybersecurity skills rank among the top three capabilities, mid-career talent is constrained, and 69% of employers raised learning budgets; employers increasingly value certifications and inclusive skilling programs.
