Mohamed Al Nuaimi has been granted a US patent for an AI-monitored agroponic system that combines aquaculture and hydroponics and recycles water, waste and nutrients. The Sharjah pilot has run for five years on a 1,000-square-metre site, using 10–20% of the water of traditional farming while delivering about tenfold leafy-green yields; the inventor says it can enable year-round production in arid regions.
