Dubai Launches Baidu RT6 Driverless Taxi Service

Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan on February 5, 2026 launched official operations of Baidu Apollo Go’s fully autonomous RT6 taxi service, following a Memorandum of Understanding between Dubai RTA and Baidu. The RT6 uses more than 40 sensors, HD mapping and AI, and Baidu opened its first operations centre outside China in Dubai, planning a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles.
