China Deploys AI Models Across Satellite Constellation

China's Zhejiang Lab and partners report a space computing network deploying ten AI models across a test fleet, following May 2025 launches of 12 satellites and nine months of on-orbit tests through February 2026. The campaign demonstrated crosslinking among six spacecraft, two 8-billion-parameter remote sensing and astronomy models, real-time gamma-ray burst classification at 99% accuracy, and plans for a >1,000-satellite constellation delivering about 100 quintillion operations per second.
