A former BigHit casting director, Kim Mi-jung, told Oricon News she discovered BTS member V (Kim Tae-hyung) after finding a smiling photo in a Daegu academy during a week of regional scouting. Kim, who spent 16 years recruiting artists and reviewing more than one million audition entries, said the image and subsequent audition convinced her he had star potential.
