Britain Seeks Views On Banning Social Media

Britain launched a three-month consultation starting March 2 to seek parents' and children's views on banning social media access for under-16s and limiting gaming platforms and AI chatbots. Officials will pilot measures including minimum ages, bans on addictive design features, overnight curfews, and stronger age verification, while also considering tighter rules to remove non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours with fines up to 10% of global revenue.
