Arm Unveils AGI CPU For Datacenters

Arm unveiled its first Arm-branded datacenter processor, the 136-core AGI CPU, during a San Francisco event on Tuesday, and said Meta will deploy it at scale later this year. The 300-watt chip uses Neoverse V3 cores across two TSMC 3 nm dies, 12 DDR5 channels, PCIe 6.0 and CXL 3.0, and targets agentic AI and dense datacenter deployments. Early customers include Meta, OpenAI, and others.
Scoring Rationale
Major vendor entry and industry-wide implications, strengthened by official launch but limited by lack of on-chip AI accelerators.
