Amplitude Undertakes Major AI Transformation After Skepticism

Amplitude, an 800-person analytics firm, is pursuing an AI transformation since October 2024, acquiring five AI startups and hiring AI leadership, CEO Spenser Skates told Business Insider. Skates said the company has invested "tens of millions", possibly over $100 million, and implemented company-wide programs including an "AI week", Copilot and Cursor licenses, and faster product cadence.
