AI Models Cite Grokipedia Increasingly As Source

ChatGPT and other AI tools, including Google’s Gemini, AI Overviews, and Copilot, have begun citing Grokipedia since the encyclopedia’s late-October launch, with analysts noting increased visibility from mid-November and December. Ahrefs found around 263,000 ChatGPT responses referencing Grokipedia from 13.6 million prompts, and Profound estimated 0.01–0.02% daily ChatGPT citations. Experts warn such citations risk propagating AI-generated bias, misinformation, and LLM grooming.
