AI Companies Hire Influencers To Promote Tools

Tech firms including Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta are increasingly hiring social media influencers in 2025 to promote generative AI services, paying creators from about $5,000 to as much as $600,000 for partnerships. Generative AI platforms spent over $1 billion on U.S. digital ads in 2025, driving a creator marketing battleground while some creators reject AI deals over ethics and audience backlash.
