Adobe Discontinues Animate 2D Animation Software

Adobe announced Monday it will discontinue its 2D animation app Adobe Animate on March 1, 2026. The company said enterprise customers will receive technical support through March 1, 2029 and other customers through March next year; installed copies will continue to work while Adobe points users to After Effects and Adobe Express, though no single Adobe product fully replaces Animate.
