Admissions Offices Transform Enrollment Support Roles

Colleges are remaking admissions roles into "admissions success coaching" to help accepted students complete pre-enrollment logistics, Augsburg University and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) said, with a NACAC pilot expanding the practice to 10–15 schools this year. The change responds to falling enrollment and a drop in college-going rates from 70% in 2016 to 62% in 2022; schools hope hands-on guidance will boost yield and student readiness.
