ABBYY Secures 22 Patents for Document Automation

ABBYY announced on February 25, 2026 that it secured 22 new patents, expanding its global portfolio to more than 400 patents and applications. The patents, developed over five years and issued in the past two years, cover language detection, UI design, image and barcode recognition, information extraction, and continuous learning for document processing. ABBYY says these patents reinforce its leadership in purpose-built AI for document automation.
